Sleeping Bag: A good balance of pack size and comfort is the NEMO Disco with the spoon shape giving room to sleep in various positions and room to stretch.

TEMP TIP: Plan for where you will be. Higher elevations in the summer can still drop from 90s during the day to 50s at night. A 30F bag is a good middle of the road bag with real comfort at around 40. You can always layer a blanket or warm weather quilt for a bump as needed.

Sleeping Pad: Big Agnes Divide 25" wide versions - The best pad on the market at this price point. We literally ran it over with a motorcycle and car, it's well built.
