When the battery is in a tight engine bay, under a seat, or in a locked compartment that puts it out of the standard charger cable's reach, the Battery Tender® 6ft Quick Disconnect Extension Cable adds 6 feet of reach without moving the battery or the charger. Built with the SAE-style quick disconnect connector used across the Battery Tender® charger and accessory lineup, it plugs inline between the charger's output and the ring terminal harness or clamp set already connected to the battery — no tools, no splicing, no modification required.
SAE Quick Disconnect Connector
The Battery Tender® quick disconnect system uses the SAE J563 two-pin connector standard — the same connector found on virtually all Battery Tender® chargers, accessories, and on a wide range of third-party battery maintenance equipment. The 6ft extension cable is compatible with any SAE-standard quick disconnect charger or accessory, making it a universal extension for any SAE-equipped battery maintenance setup.
