I love my new Kelty tent I bought from Moto-Camp Nerd! Ben was a huge help and answered all my questions. I’m at the point of replacing my worn and outdated gear and I’ll use Moto-Camp Nerd to do that for me. A big thanks to all that work there, I really appreciate you. Keep up the great job!
The tent is fantastic. I took it on a 2000 mile trip with my fiancé. What i really liked about this tent was the fact that it fit in my left side saddle bag of my road glide and I still had some extra room. Once the tent was set up me and the finace had plenty of room for both of our sleep systems as well as our gear. It kept us dry in some rain as well as kept us decently warm with heat retention down to 45 degrees. It was also extremely easy to set up although the tent stakes are a bit easy to bend. I have no complaints about this tent in the slightest. Thanks moto camp need for the quick shipping and good products
Great Tent - made for nice dry camping even in extremely poor weather with wind and rain. Easy setup, small size on bike, roomy and comfortable. After three weeks on the road it felt like my new home!
The customer service from Moto Cam Nerds was awesome. Friendly, knowledgeable and professional.
The tent is very nice. I have only had the opportunity to camp in it one time and it kept me dry in a light but steady rain. . Hope to do more soon.
I am jaded by my previous tent of many years.
(No longer available) I am sure that once I have used this one more, I will love it.
I've used this tent on a few moto camp experiences now, and it's a great value. It's a perfect size for my small sleeping pad, my sleeping bag, and ALL my gear. I enjoy the vestibles that cover the door access, and I like to put a tarp down as a false floor there for something cleaner than dirt to step out onto and put my shoes on/leave my motorcycle boots at. The tent will keep you dry, will hold up well, and is probably the easiest tent I've ever set up. It also has easy set up vents for condensation escape when the rain fly is on. Packs down fairly small, and is a great addition to a moto camp setup. I give it 5 stars, and would easily recommend it to fellow riders looking for a good all around tent.
I just did 5 days of testing and wrote my review for the Far out 3. From what I can see the far out 2 is the same tent just with smaller detentions. As with most tests when it comes to motocamping I would say get the 2 person of a solo camper and the 3 person if you are looking to share.
Both of these tents have great qualities: Affordable pricing, Strong durable materials, Bathtub style water proof interior, Vestibules for your gear, and an included Ground mat.
A pretty cool feature is where you can have the rain fly connected but half covered. It is designed to hold in that location. This is great for airflow or a starry night view. It it starts to rain it will be a simple 30 second processor to fully cover the tent and get back in shelter.
5/5 stars from me -Andrew from motorcyclesOffroad on YouTube.
I dont think there is much at all you can say negative about this tent.
Great affordable price ✔️
Strong durable materials ✔️
Bathtub style water proof interior ✔️
Vestibule for extra gear storage ✔️
Ground mat ✔️
I used this tent for a 5 day motorcyclist camping trip. First night my time was limited and was forced to set it up in the dark for the first time, Went together simple and easy. Next night it rained and stormed, not a single drop in my tent. New few nights enjoyed the beautiful night sky in the roomy beautiful tent.
I think this is a great edition to your motocamping kit because of its high quality and has a very affordable price.

For those not quite ready to spend the money on a more expensive higher-end tent this does the job nicely. Sure, I could get one that is lighter and probably packs a bit smaller, but this tent worked great for me. It was easy to setup with plenty of room. The only minor nitpick would be the footprint only covers the bottom of the tent itself and not the vestibule areas on either side. Not a deal breaker. Excellent value for the money.
Loving this tent! First time having a small, light, tent specifically for motocamping. It has plenty of room and comfort for myself and equipment. Rain on the second night and everything inside was nice and dry. Looking forward to some great years with this setup!
